HOME:

Known locally as ‘The Mucky Duck’, The White Swan is a traditional English village pub in the heart of the small village of Fence close to the Lancashire towns of Burnley, Nelson and Colne. Having been totally refurbished at the beginning of 2007 The White Swan is ideal for a relaxing drink with good wholesome home cooked pub food served at lunchtimes and in the evenings. Warming open fires await during the winter months. Being situated in the village centre we aim to be right at the heart of the community, a traditional village pub serving great homemade food and a choice of fantastic ales.

We may only have a limited number of tables but try to accommodate all of our guests. However, we strongly recommend booking to avoid disappointment. We are very proud of our food and our talented kitchen brigade, who work hard to create dishes using locally sourced, fresh ingredients for our main menu and daily changing specials board.

Our carefully chosen wine list has been put together with our local supplier to offer a selection of different wines and our draught beer range includes Timothy Taylor’s award-winning hand pulled Yorkshire ales
