We always have event nights lined up, they give Tom a break from the norm, a chance to use other ingredients that he loves to cook with and a chance to really show off what he can do with them.

 

 

 

Thursday 6th June – Lobster Night

 

Join us for a very special three course menu:

 

Crispy fish and spicy tartare to start
Whole lobster and chips as a main course 
Mr Whippy ice cream and freshly baked doughnut!

 

Price £65  / head 

 

Serving from 5.40pm, with our last tables 8.20pm

 

Please note:

 

We allow 1.5 hours at the table for this three course meal so tables booked before 6.40pm may not have time to experience the cheeseboard.

 

This is a specially prepared menu for the evening, it will not be possible for us to cater for any special requirements.

 

 

16th June – Fathers Day

 

It’s just around the corner, we’ve put a menu together that is guaranteed to make dad happy. And that, along with his nap in the afternoon is all that matters.

 

Price £90 / head

Service is from 12:00 – 16:40pm

 

Please note that we don’t offer a children’s menu and you may not consider our set menu suitable for young children.

Please advise us of any allergies or special dietary requirements when booking as it will not be possible to alter the menu on the day.

 

 

Thursday 20th June – Celebrating Beer Day Britain

 

On June the 15th every year, this country celebrates ‘Beer Day Britain’, the day the Magna Carta was sealed. Ale is mentioned in the Magna Carta so Beer Day Britain is a celebration of how beer has played a central role in our society for centuries.

 

We proudly lease our pub from Timothy Taylors brewery, a brewery renowned for the quality of their beer, and it seems fitting that we should get together and play a part in this celebration.

 

So we’ve done some research and built a 6 course menu that uses ingredients that would have been served at the great banquets in 1215 (don’t worry, they were surprisingly sophisticated).

 

Each course of the feast has been designed to match one of Timothy Taylors outstanding beers and to top things off, we have Annabel Smith coming, a professional beer sommelier who will be on hand to talk you through the beers, why they work so well with the food and answer any questions you may have.

 

Price £100 per head including a matching beer with each course

or £80 per head for the driver in your party

 

Arrive 7.00pm

 

Please note that due to the nature of this event, we cannot cater for allergies or special dietary requirements.

 

 

Alongside these event nights, we also have our regular Skins / Steak / Souffle evening on Tuesday 11th June and our Super Sundays are on Sunday the 26th May and Sunday the 30th June.

 

Also just a quick note to let you know that we will shut for food on Saturday the 6th of July, It’s the Pendle Pub walk, A day when thousands of people walk, drink, laugh and make money for Pendleside Hospice by trampling around the Pendle countryside.
